Clergy Reflection: Wednesday Of The First Week
Wednesday, March 13, 2019Wednesday of the First Week
When I was a teenager I learned a simple truth that a true relationship must go both ways. The events of Great Lent and Holy Week remind us that Christ has come to open a new way for us to our Heavenly Father, but we must be open to this new relationship if it is to have significance for us. During Lenten, we are reminded of the tremendous cost of our salvation through Christ’s great sacrifice. Christ has opened the way for us to have a personal rela- tionship with Him. Lent is a time of remembrance. The meaning of the Lord’s sacrifice must be lived in our daily lives. We must daily choose to pass through the torn curtain of the Holy of Holies to en- counter the Lord and nurture our relationship with Him.
