In response to the devastating fires in Southern California, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Board, with the blessing of Metropolitan Methodios, has contributed $10,000 to Saint Sophia Church in Los Angeles. This donation is intended to support brethren affected by the catastrophic fires, offering them some measure of comfort and relief during this difficult time.

The destructive wildfires have left countless families displaced, homes destroyed, and communities struggling to recover. Understanding the urgency of the situation, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos responded to the call to help in a time of need.

The Metropolis Board extends its heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Gary Kyriacou and the dedicated members of Saint Sophia parish, who have been working tirelessly to assist those impacted by the devastation. Their compassion and commitment to helping their brethren serves as a beacon of hope in these challenging times.

We hope this donation reflects the spirit of philanthropy and love that defines Philoptochos, embodying the Church’s mission to aid those in distress. We pray this contribution bring some relief to the families as they begin the journey of rebuilding their lives.
