METROPOLIS OF BOSTON CAMP PASSES DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES STATE INSPECTION WITH ZERO VIOLATIONS
Thursday, July 11, 2024BOSTON, Mass. (July 11, 2024) – On Tuesday, July 9th, the Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) underwent its annual surprise inspection. After the State of New Hampshire's Department of Health and Human Services inspection, the inspector shared that he found ZERO violations with MBC’s facilities and operations.
This inspection included the following areas of focus:

Adequate staff training and staffing/supervision policies

Physical safety of the facility

Proper sleeping, bathing, and toilet conditions

Waterfront safety including appropriate credentialing of lifeguards and access to necessary emergency equipment

Adequate trash disposal

Safe food storage and handling practices
-
Medical policies, medication administration, and medical staffing
MBC is grateful to its staff and volunteers who made this inspection easy, as well as to His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios. His leadership always ensures that MBC is not simply compliant with camp-related laws, protocols, and best practices, but also an example for other camps throughout the NH Camp Directors Association, New England, and the country.
