Metropolis of Boston Camp Hosts 2nd Session of Winter Camp
Tuesday, February 27, 2024
BOSTON, Mass. (Feb. 23, 2024) — During the weekend of February 17-19, the Metropolis of Boston Camp hosted over 120 campers and 40 staff members at its second winter camp program at the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center in Contoocook, NH. The program ran from Saturday morning to Monday afternoon. Engaging in both fun-filled activities and spiritual grounding, campers and staff embraced a program tailored to their faith. Additionally, campers were given the chance to select a field trip, opting between a thrilling day at Pats Peak, a nearby ski resort featuring skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, or embarking on the scenic 'Tour de Tooky' around Contoocook. This trip included stops at Marklin Candle Design, Rogers Maple Syrup and Houston’s Pine Lane Farm.
As demand for MBC programs continues to skyrocket, about 100 campers were left of the Fall Camp waitlist. In response this winter season, MBC opened two winter camp sessions to allow more campers to experience the faith and foster an appreciation for the community. This marks the first-ever expansion of GOYA winter camp offerings in MBC's history. The program looks to continue this growth as it moves into its summer sessions. Campers age 8 to rising high school seniors can register for summer camp on March 4th at 7pm at metropolisofbostoncamp.org
