The Metropolis of Boston Welcomes the KOSMOS 2023 Participants
The 2023 Kosmos Project began on the evening of Sunday, July 23rd, as 26 young adults from the Metropolis of Neapolis in Thessaloniki, Greece, arrived in Boston and were warmly welcomed by Fr. Ted Barbas, the Chancellor, on behalf of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios. After a short prayer service in the Camp Chapel of St. George, they enjoyed a welcome dinner and celebration hosted by the staff of our MBC Camp. During the first week of their stay, they will participate in our MBC camp program in Contoocook, New Hampshire, together with over 200 campers and staff from our Metropolis. During the second week of their visit, they will be hosted by several Parishes throughout New England.
As part of this annual KOSMOS exchange program, on August 1st, our Metropolis will send a group of 25 young adults to Greece to likewise be welcomed by His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas of Neapolis, participating in their Metropolis summer camp program while experiencing our religious and cultural heritage.
