MBC Receives Stellar Report From Department of Health and Human Services
Wednesday, December 31, 1969The Metropolis of Boston Camp, currently in its third session, received inspectors from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services for their un-announced annual inspection. As a camp in the State of New Hampshire, MBC is required to apply for a Camp License and submit documentation to the state ensuring that the camp is compliant with the Rules for Recreational Summer Camps from the New Hampshire Child Care Licensing Unit. Each year, inspectors visit the camp unannounced to ensure that all protocols are being met.
This year, state inspectors arrived at noon on Thursday, July 14th. Their inspection consisted of an assessment of the camp's staff training program, background check compliance, medical and medication dispensing procedures, camper supervision, cabin cleanliness, kitchen and food service adequacy, waterfront procedures, and more. At the conclusion of the inspection, the inspector noted zero violations, and parted MBC's Leadership team with a friendly, "You folks run a pretty tight shop here."
MBC is grateful to His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios whose leadership plays a key role in ensuring that the necessary people, equipment, and procedures are in place to meet all local, state, federal, and Archdiocesan requirements.
