On Thursday, December 5th 2019 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios together with Fr. Demetrios Tonias, and Archdeacon Dionysios Papiris attended the opening ceremony of the Robert P. and Kalliope Badavas Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning. Bob and Kally are faithful stewards of the Annunciation Cathedral of New England. Bob serves as the President of the Parish Council and Kally serves as president of the parish’s Philoptochos Society.

The Robert P. and Kalliope Badavas Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning was established by a generous gift from former Chair of the Board of Trustees Robert ’74 and his wife Kally Badavas. Under the leadership of Executive Director Dr. Suzanne Dove, the Center will support campus-wide teaching and curriculum innovation, provide thought leadership to the campus community and external partners, and stimulate strategic initiatives to ensure Bentley remains at the forefront of innovation in teaching and learning.

The President of the University Alison Davis-Blake was quoted saying:

"As a 14-year trustee and proud alumnus, Bob knows firsthand the value of a Bentley education. His time studying at the university helped him to succeed and lead in top executive roles for four decades. Now, this new center bearing his name will ensure that future generations of students leave with that same opportunity."
