On Sunday, June 16 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine services for the Great Feast of Pentecost at the Holy Trinity Parish in Norwich, CT. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy the Great Vespers of the Holy Spirit also known as the Kneeling Vespers was celebrated. His Eminence surrounded by the pastor of the community, Fr. Demetrios Panteloukas, and Archdeacon Dionysios prayers the kneeling prayers of the feast.
That same evening the Parish held a dinner to celebrate the 110 years since the founding of their parish. The parish honored all the past presidents of the parish council and the philoptochos society who were present in recognition of their tireless work on behalf of the parish.
Metropolitan Methodios congratulated everyone for this important milestone in the history of the parish. He also thanked and commended all the faithful stewards of the parish for the support they offer and their dedication to keeping the flame of our rich faith and cultural heritage shining bright in Norwich and the surrounding areas.
The parish presented Metropolitan Methodios with a gift, a picture depicting Archbishop Iakovos of blessed memory and the then Archdeacon Methodios during the consecration service of the Church.
