My brothers and sisters in the household of God,

 

                                                   

For 33 years now, our Metropolis gathers on the second Sunday of June to honor the faithful, loving and dedicated ministry offered by the Clergy and Laity of our 62 parishes throughout New England.  For me personally, this annual celebration, which hosts over 800 guests, is one of the most enjoyable evenings of the entire year as we gather as a Metropolis family to recognize and thank the faithful stewards of our local parishes for their dedicated service. It is an evening of much warmth and love.

 

It gives me great joy to inform you that in addition to recognizing the Award Recipients from each Community, the special guest of honor at this year’s Ministry Awards Banquet will be His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios Former of America. I have invited His Eminence to be with us on June 9, so that the faithful of our Metropolis may have the opportunity to express our respect and gratitude to him for his lifetime of service to the Church. We will celebrate and remember his 20 years as our Archbishop as well as his years as a professor at our beloved Seminary. 

                               

I encourage EVERY Community to be represented by the priest and lay leadership so we may together express our love, admiration and thanks to Archbishop Demetrios. Praying that the Light of our Lord’s Resurrection radiate in your hearts, I remain,
