On the weekend of February 15-18, 2019, Presidents Day Weekend, the Metropolis of Boston Camp held its annual GOYA Winter Camp. Over 160 youth and young adults from New England gathered at Winter Camp to focus on the theme Recharge. Reconnect. Retreat. At camp the youth were able to recharge their spiritual focus and their relationship with Jesus Christ through the many sessions there were specifically crafted to help them along their journey of faith.

On Sunday the camp, led by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. George Chapel. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy His Eminence bestowed upon Fr. Peter Day the office of Economos and thanked him for the God pleasing ministry that he has offered the Church thus far. In addressing the campers and staff His Eminence encouraged them to find stillness and silence for 10 minutes of their day and in that time open the Holy Bible, pray, and communicate with our Lord.

On Sunday afternoon the campers and staff enjoyed a fun and exciting outing to Pat’s Peak Ski Area – where they were able to ski, snowboard, snow tube, and different activities in the loge of the peak.
