During the week of December 9, 2018 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios and the residents of the Philoxenia House welcomed many youth groups from parishes through the Metropolis of Boston.
The GOYA group from the Annunciation parish in Ipswich, MA , as they do every year, visited and assisted with the raking of the leaves and preparing the grounds for the upcoming winter. The parish, and in particular the Sunday school, purchased Christmas lights and decorations which they set up to adorn the outside of the house with festive cheer.
The students from the Hellenic American Academy of Lowell, MA accompanied by their parents and teachers visited The Philoxenia. They sang traditional Greek Christmas carols but also shared sang Christmas carols from different parts of Greece, which they recently learned in their classes.
Lastly, the GOYA from St. Nectarios in Roslindale, MA visited the residents of the Philoxenia house to set up a fresh Christmas tree and decorate it with lights and festive ornaments.
