Holy Trinity in Holyoke Celebrates 100 Years
Monday, November 06, 2017On Sunday November 5, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Parish in Holyoke, MA on the occasion of their 100 year anniversary. His Eminence was joined by Fr. Peter Costarakis - who's father served the community over 50 years ago, Fr. Harry Vulopas - who was the pastor of the community for over four decades, and Fr. Tom Cokotis - the current pastor of the community. His Eminence tonsured the altar servers of the parish, two of whom are grandsons of Fr. Harry Vulopas. His Eminence also offered a blessing to a young parishioner,John Peter Sullivan, who has joined the United States Marines and will soon be starting his service to our Nation. Following the Divine Liturgy the parish has a luncheon to celebrate the 100 years of their community. The parish honored Fr. Harry's service to the parish by naming the fellowship hall after him and his Presvytera.
