On Wednesday evening, January 23, the Metropolis of Boston and the AJC Boston joined together to host an evening of history, culture, food and wine as part of the Greek American-Jewish American community exchange.

For thousands of years, the Greek and Jewish worlds have made an indelible impact on each other’s history, culture, and faith. In America, these two historic communities again find themselves being joined by common experiences that are shaping their respective identities and their attachment to their historic homelands. The evening allowed for better understanding how Greek and Jewish Americans have adapted to American life, while a part of their hearts remain “in the East.” The Panelists included Aristototle Michopoulos, Professor and Chairman of Greek Studies, Hellenic College and Jonathan Sarna, Professor of American Jewish History, Brandeis University.
