Metropolitan Methodios Celebrates Divine Liturgy at the Newly Decorated St. Catherine's Church in Braintree, MA
Tuesday, November 26, 2013On Sunday, November 24, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the newly decorated St. Catherine's Church in Braintree, Massachusetts. Ever since the Church Doors were open in 2008 the community has awaited for the church to be filled with authentic Byzantine Iconography. The iconographers gave the interior spaces and soaring dome of the church edifice with an array of delicately modulated, deeply traditional images of Christ, the Theotokos, the Great Feasts, and sacramental meditations. His Eminence congratulated the community for their initial achievement and encouraged all the congregation for continuous effort in fulfilling God's call to love ones neighbor through actions of mercy, compassion and love. Fr. Phil Mousis, who currently serves the community of St. Catherine, expressed his sincere gratitude to His Eminence for his years of service in the Metropolis and his undaunted courage and tireless efforts in leading the communities of the Metropolis.
