For
over a year now, the Metropolis of Boston and the Greek Orthodox
Archdiocese of America has been collecting donations to assist the local
Parishes in Greece care for our brothers and sisters in Greece who are
in great need during the current economic crisis. One of the avenues
of direct aide that the Metropolis of Boston has been providing for is
the "Sisitia" or Food Banks set up in the local Churches in the
Metropolis of Neapolis, Greece, outside of Thessaloniki, under the
spiritual guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas.
His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas will celebrate the Divine Liturgy this coming Sunday morning, March 3, at the St. Nectarios Church in Roslindale. Metropolitan Methodios invites the faithful of the area to join us in prayer on Sunday for Liturgy in Roslindale, beginning with the Orthros at 8.30 am.
