HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTRY

The executive board of the Parish Nurse Ministry met on November 15, at the Boston Metropolis for a sharing and support meeting. The parishes of St. Philip, Nashua, NH, Holy Trinity, Portland, ME, St. Demetrios, Sacco, ME, and Taxiarchae/Archangels, Watertown, MA were represented. They presented reports on their growth, ministry activities and shared ideas for future programs.

The Parish Nurse Ministry in the Metropolis of Boston continues to grow under the guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios and the supportive clergy of the Metropolis. With this support Parish Nursing has become a viable and relevant ministry in the Orthodox Church. Parish Nurses have partnered with the pastoral staff to identify, support, educate, advocate and guide those in need of assistance.

All that share an interest or have a background in Health and Wellness are welcome at these meetings. Meetings are held regularly to educate and support those interested in this ministry.
