Metropolitan Methodios Attends The Alpha Omega Council Banquet
Monday, June 07, 2010His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios attended the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award Banquet on June 5 which honored the Hellenic Women's Benevolent Association, a dedicated group of women who are the founders of the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton, MA. Metropolitan Methodios admires and shares the enthusiasm which the women exhibit in their efforts to be there for those in need of care, love and hope. The AlphaOmega Council of Boston, founded in 1976 by the late Peter Agris, has been a suppporter of the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since it was established. It is one the missions of the Alpha Omega Council to recognize the achievements of those individuals or groups who have excelled in their professions or fields of endeavor. And certainly, the Hellenic Women's Benevolent Association is worthy and receives the admiration of the Greek american Community as well as the community-at-large. The Alpha Omega Council also supports religious, charitable, educational and scientific activities and as such has been championing all the ministries of the Metropolis of Boston---Philoxenia House and the St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Center, a beacon of Hellenism and Orthodoxy in New England.
