Ambassador Alexandros Mallias Visits Philoxenia House

GREECE'S AMBASSADOR to the United States, Alexandros Mallias, visited the Philoxenia House of the Metropolis of Boston October 16, and met with guests and volunteers who shared with him the important ministry this house offers. They expressed their appreciation to Metropolitan Methodios of Boston, who established, and oversees, this ministry 20 years ago, and to all who support the Metropolitan in this program. George Daskalakis, Dean of the Annunciation Cathedral of Boston, Kiveli, the mother of a five-year daughter who has been treated at Chidren's Hospital, Kiki Kariotis, a volunteer, Ambassador Mallias, Maria, the grandmother of a young patient, Consul General of Greece to Boston, Constantine Orphanides, Eleni, the mother of a 12-year-old son who is being treated at Shriners' Hospital and Stavros, a patient from Aigion.
Eleni and her mother, Dina, left, were pleased to meet Ambassador Alexandros Mallias and Consul General Constantine Orphanides during their visit to the Philoxenia House on October 16. Also at the residence during the visit were Fr. George Daskalakis who visits the Philoxenia House very frequently, and Fr. Cleopas Strongylis, the Pastor of the Holy Trinity Church in Lowell, who has been visiting this residence since he was a student at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.
