Rev. Fr. Gregory Trakas

Fr. Gregory Trakas was born in Greece and educated in the United States. He is fully bilingual and a citizen of both countries. He has a degree in Theological Studies from Holy Cross School of Theology and two degrees in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Utah. Before entering the Holy Priesthood, he served for many years as marketing manager in two Fortune 500 software companies in San Francisco CA and Athens, Greece.

Originating from the southern Greek province of Arcadia (Peloponnesos), with a grandfather who immigrated in this country and raised a family in New York and Chicago from 1890 until 1920, he has strong ties and extended family in both Greece and the US. He is married and has one young daughter. After his ordination in Arcadia, Greece, he served for a year in the Metropolis of Gortynos and Megalopoleos. Before entering the Metropolis of Boston, he served for two years in Florida, under the Metropolis of Atlanta.
